Hi, I’m Allison and I’m a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Clinical Supervisor. Since the time I was young I remember having an innate curiosity for human behavior and relationships. I was deeply connected to the idea of having a profession that centered on helping others but it wasn't until my own experience on the other side of the “couch” when I could name that I desired to be a therapist.
Life is hard and we all have a story. I believe there is profound healing in creating space to share our narratives. Transformation is possible when we recognize that everyone deserves to receive support. As a therapist I am deeply passionate in helping my clients reclaim space in their own lives as they move towards their most authentic selves.
I work with a diverse range of adult individuals who are experiencing challenges related to anxiety, trauma, life transitions, and relationships. I have a unique passion for working with women, especially those navigating concerns related to self-worth and shame.Other areas of clinical interests include burnout, stress management, and work-life balance.
My approach to therapy is genuine and collaborative. My goal is to create a space where each of my client’s feel seen, supported, and heard. I utilize a cross-cultural and relational lens that is grounded in psychodynamic theory and believe the therapeutic relationship is often the vehicle for change. My treatment plans are tailored to each of my client’s individual needs and draw from a variety of different modalities. I believe my client’s are the experts on themselves and I am here to guide them to what they need.
I am committed to normalizing the process of therapy and believe it can be a positive and proactive piece of one’s overall healthcare. Whether you’re facing relationship issues, transitions, mood shifts, or are looking to heal from past experiences, seeking therapy can help you stay committed to taking up space in your own life and creating more meaningful connections to others.
