About
"I find being in the therapeutic space with others as they explore the joys and struggles of life to be an incredibly humbling and privileged experience."

Why I became a therapist
I’ve always had, and continue to have, a deep passion for social justice, education, and working with others. Being a therapist combines all those things into one life-giving and fulfilling career. As a therapist I am committed to working with the whole person in a way that is collaborative, and strength based. I find being in the therapeutic space with others as they explore the joys and struggles of life to be an incredibly humbling and privileged experience.

Who I work with
I enjoy working with a diverse population of clients. I have experience providing both individual and family therapy and I have worked with a wide range of ages from early adolescents & teens to late adulthood. I work with survivor/victims of community violence, violent injuries and trauma, sexual abuse or assault, self-harm, suicidal ideations, and, in addition, I work with individuals who are experiencing life transitions, anxiety, complex trauma, compound trauma and spirituality. I am a LGBTQIA+ affirming therapist and work with all clients, no matter their background or identities, from a trauma-informed framework.

"I strive to create a relaxed and safe atmosphere where my clients are able to laugh, cry, and explore thoughts, emotions, and life experiences in a non-judgmental space."
Working With Me
Although I may have the clinical training and background, I view the client as the “expert” in the therapy space as you know yourself better than anyone. Yet, at times we feel stuck or too bogged down and need help exploring what’s all going on in our lives. That’s where I come in! Depending on the specific needs of the client, I utilize a transdiagnostic approach using Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). My approach to therapy is collaborative and I believe it is the role of both the therapist and client to co-create a space in which the client can show up as their authentic self and grow in a deeper understanding of who they are. No matter the type of therapy we use together in session, my goal is always to work together to develop and strengthen life skills so as to live your best life possible. In doing so, I strive to create a relaxed and safe atmosphere where my clients are able to laugh, cry, and explore thoughts, emotions, and life experiences in a non-judgmental space.
