Why I became a therapist

Hi! I’m Connie and I’m glad you’re here. It is vulnerable and brave to start your therapy journey. Whether it’s your first time, or you’re back after a break, my hope is you will experience a deeper connection with yourself and the healing and growth to live to your full potential. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and I was inspired to pursue an advanced degree in Clinical Social Work to impact my community by connecting with and helping others in a meaningful way. I have always been fascinated by the lived experiences of others and it is a privilege to hold space and be witness to others’ stories. My own experience in therapy, in addition to working as a life and business coach, attracted me to work as a therapist. I first started my personal growth journey as a young adult when I wanted to make significant changes in my life. Through individual and group therapy, I have experienced the freedom, transformation and joy that come when we fully engage, speak the truth and accept ourselves in the face of life challenges. I have experienced the power of having a therapist and community in my corner casting a vision for a full, meaningful life, reminding me that the world is our playground. I’m excited and honored to hold that vision with you.

Who I work with

I work with adults of all ages and my areas of interest include life transitions, stress, anxiety, relationship issues, career discernment and family of origin dynamics. As a mother of two young children, I also enjoy supporting expecting and new parents, and those seeking to create work-life balance and navigating issues of self-worth. My approach is collaborative, compassionate and genuine. I honor each client’s capacity to take personal responsibility for their own satisfaction.

"I offer a safe, non-judgmental environment to feel seen and heard as you navigate and deepen relationships, connect with yourself and process your experiences"

Working With Me

I hold our time together as a sacred space for you to show up fully as you are. It takes courage to look inward and explore. As a guide and partner, I offer a safe, non-judgmental environment to feel seen and heard as you navigate and deepen relationships, connect with yourself and process your experiences. My style respects and affirms the life-changing power of human relationships. I feel strongly that we can do more than we think in the context of our relationships to others and how we impact one another. With curiosity, truth and humor, I join you on your journey of learning and growth, supporting an environment of belonging, security, compassion and authenticity. I affirm the dignity and worth of each client, holding you as the expert of your own life, with innate capacity and strength to create the life you want. I utilize an integrative, trauma-informed approach that is influenced by various practices and principles from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Family Systems, Developmental Theory, Existential Philosophy and Mindfulness.
